O-Ring Sprinkler Recall
July 2001 -
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Central Sprinkler Company have announced a voluntary recall to replace Central, Gem and Star o-ring sprinklers. Click here for complete information from the CPSC.
Central Sprinkler has established a website which provides additional information regarding the voluntary replacement program. A sprinkler identification chart is included within this site and should be used to determine whether a location has any sprinklers affected by the recall. All locations be made aware of the replacement program and the identification chart. Personnel should be charged with reviewing sprinklers installed at their facilities and if a positive ID is made, submit a claim to Central ASAP. Central Sprinkler requires the building owner to contact Central directly. Click here for more information from Central Sprinkler.
